Our story
Rex Alton started out in the sand blasting and painting business in 1968. In 1973 we added sand, gravel and trucking, and Rex Alton Companies was formed. Also included was a small demolition division. In 1976, excavation equipment expanded the demolition division.
In 1978 we were the first in the United States to build and operate an air lift dredge. It reaches depths of over 100 feet.
Our ready mix concrete business began in 1981, including a complete concrete construction crew. In 1998 we formed a land development company to develop 25 acres of land on North 6th Street in Vincennes, Indiana.
In 2000 we purchased a truck repair and parts department and a fabrication facility. In 2001 we started general contracting, specializing in radiant heated floors.
Today
Today our main focus is ready mix concrete, construction and hauling, and we still deliver sand, gravel and crushed stone. Our experience means your project is completed quickly and accurately to your specifications.
